La Quinta falls squarely in the “serviceable” category of hospitality, and everybody knows it. Trying to paint La Quinta as a five-star hotel is like putting lipstick on a pig.

But here’s the thing — you don’t need the Ritz. When you go to a hotel, you need a bed, a bathroom, and some breakfast, and you’re pretty much set to go. Those pricey hotels can hype themselves up, but the fact is, La Quinta’s got pretty much all the same stuff covered. So if you want to feel fancy, go right ahead.
